Fauna Marin Kalkwasser Additive
A Convenient Way to Maintain and Stabilize Calcium and pH Levels
Fauna Marin Kalkwasser is an easy-to-use solution for maintaining calcium and alkalinity levels in a reef aquarium. It removes the need to use multiple supplements, helping to keep water parameters stable. Kalkwasser has a high pH, which steadies the aquarium's pH levels and prevents sudden fluctuations that can stress corals and other marine life. This can also promote healthy coral growth by providing essential calcium and alkalinity levels for calcification and growth, especially benefiting SPS corals with high calcium demands.
Using Kalkwasser as a calcium and alkalinity supplement can be more cost-effective in the long run compared to other methods such as dosing multiple liquid supplements or using calcium reactors. Kalkwasser is made from calcium hydroxide, a naturally occurring compound that provides a bioavailable source of calcium for corals and other invertebrates in the aquarium. This additive can help inhibit the growth of nuisance algae by increasing the pH and alkalinity levels, creating an environment less favorable for algae growth.
